Inauguration - 3D Projection Mapping
The UNESCO World Book Capital program is an initiative to promote publishing activities globally by nominating a best city for a one-year period. This year (2019), Sharjah was selected as the world book capital and built a monument to celebrate World Book Day.
Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) tasked Imosion to inaugurate the sculpture and celebrate Sharjah nomination as the world book capital with a unique unveiling to H.H. Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi ruler of Sharjah and Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi. Imosion created a breathtaking event and multimedia experience where the 40-meter high monument designed by renowned architect Gerry Judah was brought to life with a live 3D mapping projection show using sound, music and projection technology. The result was a high-detail mesmerizing visual presentation that was later coupled with an evening dinner.
Guests and local officials invited to the unveiling were able to experience what Imosion has transformed one of Sharjah’s newest and most iconic monuments into a show unlike anything they could imagine.
