To launch the all-new Chevrolet Sonic, Chevrolet Arabia sponsored Arab Idol, MBC network’s most viewed program in the Middle East. To bring the excitement of the show online and to maximize the impact of the sponsorship, we created an online music contest that enabled fans to create their own branded Chevy sonic remix with our highly engaging online music creation tool. The contest was fully driven on Facebook, where contest scores could be viewed on the branded leaderboard. The sonic remixes were shared with their friends for voting. The tool proved a powerful way to connect Chevy with consumers, artists with fans, and people with each other and the music they love. The excitement didn’t stop here as the fan with highest votes won a professional recording studio session for their winning track with a hit DJ.
